Let’s face it: No matter how good our products are, you are still selling your cause more than the product. People want to help. And they want to know what they are helping you accomplish. Are you trying to send your team to the state championship? Or trying to send your group on a charitable mission to Africa. Your customers want to know details - they want to share your success!
 
Here are 3 Ways to Communicate Your Cause:
 
1) Prepare a handout for each of your sellers outlining the details of your cause and exactly where the funds raised will go.
-If you’re a sports team - what are your goals? Why do you need funding?
-If you’re a Church group - what will you do with the money? Who are the supporters helping?
-If you’re a school – tell them what they will be buying with the money and what it will mean to you.
2) Hold a kick-off event to help motivate your team, and make sure they all understand the cause. Have them perfect the sales pitch before they leave. They are the face of your organisation!
3) Use Facebook or a website to help communicate your goals. Your team or group should have a Facebook page, talking about your group goals and showing pictures of your group and its members. The more people hear about your message, the easier it will be to sell them our great products.
