“This is the Norwin High School and Norwin Middle School Cheerleaders participating in our local Relay for Life back in the summer and at the holidays, providing gifts to local foster children.
Our group (combined is approx. 75 cheerleaders) pride ourselves in being known for participating in as many charitable causes as possible, in addition to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, our girls also participate in Race for Grace, to help raise money for childhood cancer research, specifically Pediatric Brain Cancer, additionally, our girls raise money for Andrews Avengers as part of our Go Gold initiative in September, raising money and awareness for Neuroblastoma research, our middle school collected money for the United Way at one of our games, all of the girls participated in a local toy drive to benefit children that are in the foster care program at the holidays. Knowing that this might be the only gift these children receive, our families really rally and dig deep to provide for those less fortunate. It’s amazing. I could go on and on about what a wonderful group of cheerleaders we have!
This is all in addition to cheering for their football, soccer, basketball, wrestling and volleyball teams!
This year, in order to raise money to help cover some of their expenses, we are excited to offer the Otis Spunkmeyer/Auntie Anne’s/Cinnabon collection. There is a little bit of something for everyone there!”
