Donors are usually excited about this switch from chocolate because it gives them new choices. It is an order taking campaign with the donor choosing his snacks; the orders will be totaled and then shipped from the fundraising company. There is no left over stock to handle because everything that is shipped is already sold.

You can use just about any activity for a active fundraising campaign. The sports fundraisers are great ways to get a large cross section of people to participate and depending on the time of the year also a variety of choices.

Bowling tournaments are a great way to appeal to different age groups. It doesn’t matter if it’s ten pin, five pin or lawn bowling a tournament will bring out all the bowling aficionados. Approach you local club and arrange for a day for your school team or charity event. This bowling fundraiser can be put on any time of the year.

Golf tournaments are easy to put on and get people out for. Tournaments generate publicity and appeal to corporations. A few calls and some advertising can net you some corporate sponsorship as well. Many courses will be happy to help you set up the organizational work.

This active sports fundraiser is fairly cheap to put on. All you need is a course away from traffic and good weather. Throw in a barbeque or picnic at the end of the ride and your numbers increase with entire families.

For charities or school groups expecting larger numbers you could schedule a 2 day event. You could even pick slightly different routes for the more experienced and straight terrain for the families.

Pets Parade
While not exactly a sport sweeping the nation, this is bound to be a popular active fundraising activity. Post some signs and get owners with their pets to go for a walk in the park. Charge a little for admission and offer little prizes for the best behaved or most exotic pet. People love to come together with their pets, it would not cost much and if it was well run, the crowds could grow weekly.

Swimming
Many participate in swimming as a leisure activity that this would appeal to a lot of people. You could approach local pools to sponsor a charity event. Charge an entrance fee to teams and arrange prizes in different categories. The most laps done in a certain time, or laps completed by a team. You might even separate the awards by age groups to be fair.
